Lol, I remember Horace Goes Skiing! Yeah it’s weird to think I would sit for ages listening to fax machine loading squeals to start a game that would crash two minutes in and I’d just rewind the cassette and load it again. Nowadays if it takes more than 30 seconds to load I’m shouting in frustration.

I definitely played some games on the BBC computer at school, and on an Apple and an Apricot that my Dad brought home for us to play on back in the 80s, but the first game I remember playing was on my trusty 48K spectrum – yep the rubber keys computer. It was either Horace Goes Skiing or Chequered Flag and I loved them. Weird now how we go on about fantastic graphics but I probably got more enjoyment out of those games that you had to load using a tape recorder, that took ages, and often crashed before you could get it to load!

Must have been The Bard’s Tale or Wizardry in 1983. I was 3. Something on my parents’ Apple ][e anyway. Turns out, although I have some compunctions about iDevices as gaming platforms, that I’m an O.G. Apple gamer. O_o

i have played everyone of those games and loved them all the games that lasted are the ones that mattered the most. so to me i think Half Life and Counter strike should be in the top 3. that halo and call of duty.

I discovered FPS with Doom on Jaguar, it was good.

“Aliens vs Predator 1999″ : what ? Aliens vs Predator on Jaguar is the best FPS I ever played and it was released in 1994 !

Deus Ex is the all-time favortie FPS of my brother.

I’m a super fan of Halo, my fav was Halo 2 online.

Call of Duty MW3 is a noob game (perks ruin the competitiveness) but survival mode is very fun !
